Bio

Flavio Bucciarelli, a degree in Marketing from Lausanne Business School and an MBA in Strategic Management from Henley Business School, has a long international career in the luxury hospitality industry with over 20 years with the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide group.

He started in 1997 in Marketing and Sales before moving to London in 2002 as General Manager of the Sheraton Skyline: 3 years later to Portugal as Area Manager Algarve & General Manager Sheraton Algarve - Pine Cliffs.

From 2008, and for the next 6 years, he was in Paris first as General Manager Le Meridien Eroile and Area Manager Northern France and then extended his area of responsibility to France and Monaco.

From 2014 to 2017 he was VP Operations Europe, Africa & Middle East, based in Brussels.

After finishing his long experience at Starwood, Flavio joined Tryagon, a consulting firm with a focus on the Hospitality, Entertainment and Media sectors, as a partner in 2018.

In 2019 he arrived in Stockholm first as COO and then CEO of Pophouse Entertainment, part of the Swedish Qarlbo AB group, a family-owned investment company founded by Conni Jonsson and owned by the Jonsson family. Qarlbo is a long-term investor in sectors ranging from entertainment to hospitality and real estate, always with a strong focus on sustainability.

At the same time, Flavio is working on a new hospitality project in Porto Erqole, which is realised through the Italian company Erqole - also part of the Qarlbo AB group - of which he first becomes chairman of the board in 2021, then CEO in 2022.

Since early 2024, he has been CEO of Qarlbo Hospitality, which oversees all hospitality projects of the Qarlbo AB group currently in Italy and Sweden.

In December 2024, the MIRAMIS brand was launched, which currently has Erqole's Tuscan projects in its portfolio: the Hotel La Roqqa and the Isolotto Beach Club in Porto Ercole, both to be inaugurated in 2023, together with the Hotel Torre di Cala Piccola in Porto Santo Stefano and the Fattoria La Capitana in Magliano in Tuscany, both of which will soon undergo major renovations. In addition, as part of urban regeneration projects, a new hotel is to be built in the area of the former Cirio factory in Porto Ercole.

Flavio is fluent in five languages in addition to Italian, including Japanese. This has enabled him from time to time to lead local teams with remarkable empathy and extreme listening skills, but also by putting his international experience at their disposal. He has always aspired to create a lasting legacy among his employees, motivating and stimulating them with a view to growth and innovation with a focus on sustainability.
