Massimiliano Giometti

Creative Director Drumohr and Director of Polimoda Fashion School

Bio

After graduating in Fashion Design from Polimoda, in collaboration with the London College of Fashion, Massimiliano Giornetti made his debut in Roman haute couture alongside designer Anton Giulio Grande, also a former Polimoda alumnus. In July 2000, he joined the Men's Division of Salvatore Ferragamo and took over as creative director four years later.

In 2010, he also took charge of the Women's ready-to-wear collection, becoming the first creative director responsible for all of the Maison's product lines – a role he held for 16 years. Among the memorable moments of his career were the presentation of the Women's Resort 2012 Collection at the former residence of philanthropist and art collector Doris Duke, and the 2013 show under the arches of the Denon peristyle at the Paris Louvre Museum, which for the first time granted its spaces for a catwalk.

In 2017, he collaborated on the relaunch of the iconic Chinese luxury brand Shanghai Tang.

In 2019, Giornetti was appointed Head of the Fashion Design Department at Polimoda, and in February 2021, he took over as the school's director.
