General Manager – Park Hyatt Milano
Born in Madrid, Marcos Romero Milans del Bosch embodies a synthesis of European warmth and international perspective. Having grown up between the Spanish capital, the Canary Islands, the Basque Country and Seville, he developed a deeply ingrained sense of hospitality: an instinctive attentiveness towards others and a natural ease in making people feel welcome.
For Romero, hospitality has always been more than a profession: it's a calling. At 17, he left Spain for England to learn the language, working as a waiter to support himself. What began as a necessity soon revealed itself to be a passion: “I discovered how much I love creating memorable experiences for people.“Even today, in an executive role, he maintains the same commitment to creating meaningful moments for others: “There is no greater satisfaction“.
After several years abroad, he realised that building the career he envisioned required a solid academic foundation. Back in Madrid, he completed his studies in Business Administration e Hospitality Management, laying the groundwork for his future leadership.
He brings with him 25 years of international luxury hospitality experience, shaped by a career ranging over Europe and Africa. He began his professional journey in the United Kingdom at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel, before returning to Spain where he held leadership roles, including Restaurant Manager and, in 2013, Head Maître d'Hôtel at The Palace Hotel Madrid.
In 2015, he joined the Sofitel Le Grand Ducal in Luxembourg, where his talent and determination led him to hold various positions, culminating in the role of Front Office Manager. He subsequently deepened his operational experience at the Sofitel Biarritz Le Miramar and, since 2019, has held the role of Director of the Chambers and then by Director of Operations at the Pullman Kinshasa Grand Hotel, further expanding his experience in complex and multicultural environments.
Since 2022, Romero has been part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, first as Director of Operations and then as Hotel Manager at the prestigious Park Hyatt Paris–Vendôme, one of the brand's flagship properties. Its recent appointment as General Manager of Park Hyatt Milan in October 2025 marks a significant new chapter, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the 19th-century palace that houses the hotel: an opportunity to bring his vision of contemporary luxury to one of Milan's most iconic landmarks.
Convinced that education is a continuous journey, he continues to invest in professional development by completing specialisation courses every two years at Cornell University, deepening his expertise in Revenue Management (2019), Accounting & Finance (2021) e Sales (2023).
Today, Romero combines a deep human touch with strategic operational excellence, leading with empathy, discipline, and an unwavering passion for service.
