A career in the luxury hospitality industry spanning over forty years has taken Filip Boyen from his native Belgium to Turkey, South Africa, the Comoros Islands, Russia, Bora Bora, Peru and the UK.

Prior to joining Forbes Travel Guide as CEO in 2018, Boyen served as CEO of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Prior to holding this position, he worked for 18 years at Orient-Express/Belmond, joining the hotel company as general manager of the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort in Tahiti, then climbing the ranks to become executive vice president and chief operating officer of Belmond until 2015.
