Bio

Class of 1979, originally from Castelmartini (in the province of Pistoia), Enrico Bartolini graduated from the “F. Martini” Professional Hotelier Institute in Montecatini Terme. His is not a family of restaurateurs, but Enrico develops a strong passion for food and haute cuisine which led him to perfect his skills abroad in the kitchens of great masters in Paris and to London; It was in Italy, however, that he completed his training under Massimiliano Alajmo.

In 2005 takes over a restaurant in Oltrepò Pavese, “The Robinias”, where it attracts the curiosity of leading food critics who point to it as one of the most talented and interesting young chefs on the Italian sceneIt was here, in 2008, at the age of 29, that he won the first Michelin star.

The constant desire to grow and improve pushed him to embark on a new professional adventure: in 2010 Enrico leaves the Oltrepò Pavese to take care of the “Devero Restaurant” - and the “Twelve24 Quick Restaurant”in the Hotel of the same name in Cavenago Brianza (a few minutes from Milan) where, after only two years, conquest the second Michelin star and enriches its palma res with the three hats of l'Espresso and the three forks of the Gambero Rosso.

Recognitions that made him increasingly successful and well-known in the world of haute cuisine. The desire to express himself in new entrepreneurial and gastronomic challenges finally led him to Milan, the city of design, fashion and, after EXPO 2015, also food: excellences that make Italy's name great in the world.

Enrico Bartolini was Brand Ambassador by EXPO 2015, is part of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe (JRE)®, of the network Le Soste®, è Krug Ambassador since 2013, collaborates with Skelmore Hospitality for premises Roberto's by Dubai and with Dining Concepts for the venue Spiga by Enrico Bartolini by Hong Kong and Friends in Bali.

In April 2016 opens the Restaurant “Enrico Bartolini” on the third floor of the MUDEC - the Museum of Cultures - also managing the bar-bistro.

At the same time Enrico opens the “Casual Restaurant” a Bergamo (in the Upper Town) and takes over the catering of The Andana, the exclusive resort of Castiglione della Pescaia, in the heart of the Maremma.
In the month of September of the same year Enrico burst onto the Venetian gastronomic scene with the GLAM“ Restaurant” within Venart Palace, luxury hotel along the Grand Canal.

The 2016 therefore marks an important milestone in Bartolini's professional and personal journey: in November the Michelin Guide assigns him well four stars: two in Milan, one in Bergamo and one in Castiglione della Pescaia. Never before in the history of the famous “Rossa” has a chef conquered four stars at once.

In November 2017 comes the fifth Michelin star, assigned to the “Glam” by Venice. In March 2018 is Monferrato and precisely Cioccaro of Penango (in the province of Asti) the destination chosen by Enrico Bartolini for the “Locanda del Sant'Uffizio”fine dining restaurant within the Relais Sant'Uffizio awarded the prestigious star from the 2019 Michelin Guide.

In the 2020 edition the Michelin, attributes the highest award (three stars) at the restaurant that bears his name inside the Mudec-Museum of Cultures by Milan and the second star at “Glam” by Venice. Milan thus returns, after over 25 years, to have a three-star restaurant.

In the 2021 edition is the’Osteria Il Poggio Rosso to a Michelin star and in the 2023 edition to the «Locanda del Sant'Uffizio» goes the second star, one star at Anima (new opening in Milan the previous year) and a star at the Sacred Fire to which Bartolini has been a consultant since the same year. In the 2024 edition, the star goes to Bluh Furore.

In the 2025 edition Villa Elena gets the two stars Michelin, Bartolini has thus achieved a new record: with fourteen stars is first in Italy and second in the world».
