Dany Stauffacher is CEO & FOUNDER of Sapori Ticino - Saveurs Agency

DANY STAUFFACHER was born in 1953 in Zurich. He grew up in Lugano, where he still lives in an old renovated factory. His life is strongly linked to sport and food: at the age of 17 he made his debut in the Swiss basketball league and at the age of 20 he started selling sportswear. Travelling extensively for business between Europe, America and Asia, he has visited more than 3,000 restaurants around the world, developing a strong passion for good food. In 2007, he created the communication agency Sapori Ticino with the aim of creating and managing quality food and wine projects. Thus was born S.Pellegrino Sapori Ticino, the 18th edition of which will take place this year: one of the most important gastronomic festivals in Europe that has hosted over 200 starred chefs for a total of over 400 Michelin stars.

Besides food and wine, Dany Stauffacher's passions are fishing, his Ducati and the Ticino mountains. He is convinced that food and wine is the best way to promote the region but also to create relationships, have fun and cultivate friendships.
