Co-owner of Collezione Em, a hotel group that includes the Grand Hotel Minerva and Hotel Brunelleschi in Florence, Villa Roma Imperiale and Pensione America in Forte dei Marmi, and Violino d'Oro in Venice, Sara Maestrelli is part of that new generation of young women entrepreneurs in the hotel industry in Italy.

Raised between Florence and New York, she holds a degree in neuroscience from San Raffaele University in Milan, a Master of Science from King's College London, and a Master of Science in clinical psychology from the University of Florence.
It was her curiosity about the multifaceted nature of the hotel industry that led her to join her aunt in managing the family hotels. Thus a great passion was born. Sara began her career in sales, later taking on the multifaceted role of owner and CEO. A passionate art collector, she is extremely involved in taking care of the design within each of the hotels that make up Collezione Em, as well as developing new projects: from creating commercial and marketing strategies, to working with each hotel's team to manage every detail of the guest experience, from restaurant menus to staff selection.
