Alain Bullo, having completed his linguistic studies and obtained a master's degree in tourism economics and management from the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, entered the world of hotel management, initially working as a secretary at the Villa Cipriani hotel, and then rising to the rank of director at one of Venice's most fascinating establishments, the '100 windows on St. Mark's Basin'; a place where the composer Tchaikovsky, the writer Borges, the Nobel Prize winner for literature Brodskj, and also the mother of this director have all stayed.
